Beschreibung des Videoclips:
In the heart of the city there is Frankfurt Zoo, which was established in 1858 and is thus among the oldest zoological gardens in the world. In open cages and in unique animal houses, the zoo presents a total of 500 different species and more than 4,500 animals.
This natural oasis became known throughout the world through the commitment of its legendary director Professor Bernhard Grzimek (1909 -- 1987). The important zoologist, animal filmmaker and conservationist rebuilt the zoo after its destruction in the Second World War and introduced an exemplary modern keeping of animals in his almost thirty years of work (1945 until 1974). Grzimek's TV programme 'Ein Platz für Tiere' made Frankfurt Zoo famous in the Sixties and Seventies.
Lions, rhinos, crocodiles, apes -- to observe the impressive animal world of Africa and other continents.
One of the attractions at Frankfurt Zoo is also named after him, the biggest nocturnal animal house in Europe. Here in the Grzimek House, day becomes night and in the twilight, visitors can watch animals such as bats and African aardvarks at their activities. Another crowd-puller is the Cats' Jungle South East Asia where the visitors can observe Indian lions, Sumatra tigers, clouded leopards and rusty-spotted cats without any barriers, across water ditches or through glass panes.
The Exotarium is impressive and here the guests can get to know the diversity of animals from the Polar Sea to the Amazon. Among others, penguins, freshwater and saltwater fish, reptiles, amphibians and insects live here in their near-natural environment. There is a tropical storm here twice a day.
It is turbulent at the seal cliffs both below and above water. The dwarf sea bears and seals that live here delight visitors with their playfulness. A grotto with underwater windows makes it possible for the visitors to also watch the lively marine inhabitants when they dive.
